Anoushay Dar is a British-Pakistani theatre maker based in London, exploring love, language, and location.

She is drawn to stories that question identity, blending the poetic and the political. Her work engages text with movement and aims to dismantle the mundane.

Recently, Anoushay has worked with Theatre503 as a Rapid Write Response Director (Feb’ 2026), Tara Theatre as an Actor (Jan-Apr’ 2026), and Orange Tree theatre as a Deviser/Actor (May - July’ 2026). She has performed original work as part of the NSDF’2024 cohort and at spoken word events during Wandsworth Arts Fringe Festival.

Anoushay is always looking for work that challenges her and the way audiences may think about characters; the more complicated the better.

Each rehearsal room is a place of shared experiences and storytelling, bringing a collaborative energy to every project. Making work with audiences is at the heart of her craft, as they are the final piece to a story. She will continue to keep asking them complicated questions.

By creating work that responds to the world right now to bring catharsis, joy, protest, and celebration, audiences will leave intrigued, maybe a bit confused, and ultimately have had a fun night out.
